Convergence problems

I'm currently experiencing some problems in reaching the convergence in STAR-CD calculations. I have already tryed to reduce the mesh size and/or to change the boundary conditions to help reducing the residual values, but after some iterations, they always start obscillating between 10^-1 and 10^-2.

Is there any trick I can use to solve this problem?

Thanks a lot.

Is your problem really steady-state?

Yes! It is a really steady-state problem!

Can you help me, please?

Re: Convergence problems

To me it looks like your problem may be a REAL transient and you try to enforce a steady-state solution. That may be the reason why you cannot get a converged solution, because the flow physics may be wrong.

It's possible! How can I have a transient solution?

Change the analysis type from steady-state to transient?
