Highlighting the Adiabatic tab

Hey folks,

I know that the walls in STAR CD are adiabatic by nature. How do I put a constraint on one of them to have a constant heat source? In short how can I make the adiabatic tab active?

Thanks in advance.

If you have the Conjugate heat transfer set to ON in Thermal option, you should be able to set the wall condition to constant heat flux or fixed temperature on the Define Boundary Region tab. Change the Wall Heat to required state.

hi Sheila, I think if u dont switch on congugate heat transfer even then u wld be able to define heat flux or fixed temperature on wall.

Som is right. You just have to activate the temperature calculation if you want to define a wall temperature or heat flux.
