turbulent transient

hi,

i try to simulate a trubulent channel flow with star-cd 326.

therefore i have defined the inlet- and the outletface of the channel as "cyclic". so that the velocity-distribution at the inlet-plane is tuned over to the outlet-plane. the pressure should have a constant pressure drop between these to boundaries. it is not explained in the user guide. do you know how to fix this this?

i also have an other question: the flow is transient. so i want to initialize the flow with a given velocityprofile. i tried it with a table relatetd to the material (air). should i better define the velocity for "cells"? what is the difference?

many questions, i know. but perhaps you can answer some of them. it would be great. thank you.

Re: turbulent transient

I can help you only with the second question. The best way to initialise the flow is by using user subroutine initf.f(i dont remember the exact name). I also faced the same problem and table was not working for me so I used the user subroutine and I believe that is also an efficient way.
