Cyclic Boundary

Hello

I have created 64*64*64 cells as a cube. I want to define cylic boundaries condition. First cyclic boundary should be -y and other one is +y side. So Both zx planes should be defined cylic boundary coundition. Is it possible to define this sitituon in norrow channels and if i do like this; is it correct or? Because this study has periodic flow conditions through y plane as a vertical. If it is not correct to use cyclic boundary condition for this issue, please tell me which command is correct.

Re: Cyclic Boundary

hallo,

i think this command is correct. you can use cyclic boundaries to fix this problem. if you also use the cyclic boundaries in flow direction, be careful regarding the pressure drop between the two planes. you have to use partial boundary conditions.
