modeling of 2D axi-symmetry flow

Hi,

Please help me to know can I make a 2D axi-symmetry model for simulation of swirl flow in a cylinder. I have access to pro-star and I couldn't find something in the manual. Thanks in Advance, Mehdi

Hi

For 2D axissymetric flow creat a cylindrical mesh with a single cell in theta direction. Assign both the faces 1 cell apart as symmetry boundary condition.

If you have rotational flow then use cyclic boundaries not symmetry!
