If I will use Starcd on Linux,should I use suse linux enterprise desktop 10 or opensuse 10? what different both version. if you use Linux,plz advice me about your version of linux. regards

I use suse linux 10.0. 64 bit version and can honestly say I haven't had any problems at all. It's just worked.

Hi

Yes you can, the installation came with both 32 and 64 bit installations. I have also ran star with suse 9.1 (32 bit), again no problems what so ever.

Thanks, allan I want to Khow,If I use suse 10.0 64 bit and Intel duo core 64 bit,Can I use my Star-cd v3.26 cd to installation? and If it can,Will it run star solver normally? regards

Hi

It runs fine with a dual core processor, but v3.26 runs faster on a single core, than a dual core processor for the same clock speed. Check out cd-adapcos benchmarking:

Hi all,I recently got "CD.Adapco.Star.CD.v3.26.bin" I have Debian & mandriva 2007.0, Now i cann't install it in Linux.

Where did you get the binary from? 3.26 comes as a package with a setup script.

The only linux OS's that are supported are RHEL and Suse Enterprise. It may or may not work on other linuxs but its a question of getting the right kernel, glibc, and who knows what else together in one place.

Thanks, Ben & TG , i Got a workaround for my problem. I had to use ( 2) Nero , *Daemon tools* .It all extracts the *.bin file.

Ahhhh so what you meant to say is that you have downloaded an illegal copy of the software (as you are a theif) and are having trouble breaking the law correctly....

really?? i apologise then as cd-adapco don't supply bin images, i presume you got it from one of their agents then?
