Postprocesing

Hi experts!

This is a problem regarding postprocesing of plots made in Star-CD..

I'm often in a situation where I need to make the same plots over and over again for different cases. I use the ps format and convert it to pdf using ghostscript.

I allways use powerpoint to present the results and allways copy specific areas of each plot (snapshot in acrobat reader) and finally paste it into powerpoint as jpg. The tricky part is to copy the exact same area for each pdf file cooresponding to each case.

There must be a way to specify the areas (by pixels or something like that) using some command. Or even a macro in windows.

Do you have any ideas??

(I have tried "convert" by magick. But using the "-extract" command the quality of the ps is ruined during the proces..)

try to save .eps (encapsulated post-script) instead of ps. Or you can use gifs or hrsd (help hrsd in extended mode) that you can directly add into ppt.

If you do a macro in prostar, the plot from prostar and save will be rigorouly the same.

Then what you do afterward is independent of prostar
