hello all defining both step combustion reactions and complete combustion reaction in one step (of propane) i get a warning that left and right hand sides of reaction aren't equal; checking it by hand, using data from STAR_CD database i get values approximately equal to the RHS-values shown in the output window; have you ever faced something similar? what to do? thx in advance

Approximately equal to is not the same as exactly equal to. Prostar requires exactly equal to.

Check it again until you sort out why Prostar is doing what you ask instead of what you desire.

I've had this problem. So I feel your pain. Unfortunately it's been a while & I don't remember all the gory details. Is it something with how the base fluid is book kept?

This is a basic stoichiometry calculation. I'm a little confused when you say you used data from the StarCD database. What data?

Please, send the reaction formula. After I see it I can tell you what is the problem.
