Hi guys,

When looking at simulation results, how can I actually know if separation did occur or did not occur?

The easiest way is to look at velocity vector plot - after separation point/line recirculation region starts. The more sophisticated way is to plot shear stress at the wall. But anyway you should read some general fluid dynamics book to get better understanding of what is separation
