How to give mass flow inlet boundary condition

Hi friend, I have massflow data. I want to give it near inlet. dont want to give velocity components.

please suggest me the correct method .

thanks

Re: How to give mass flow inlet boundary condition

in star-ccm+ just use a mass flow inlet, in star-cd calculate the velocity needed to get the required mass flux (mfr = rho * a * v) apply the velocity to the boundary and change the flux switch to velocity flux. Of course if you are using constant density it won't matter anyway....

yes i agree but in some cases, say if the inlet surface is not in one plane like concave and it didn't have proper mathematical description, i want to give massflux to that in normal direction to each face of the cell . then is there any possibility in starcd?
