Hi Could somebody expolain to me how to create a high quality STL file for CFD import. I runnning into all sorts of troubles with surfaces that have holes in them . Thanks a lot!

Sounds like your CAD model isn't great, or the export to STL faciity doesn't work.

If you have just a few holes, they can easily be repaired using STAR-CCM+'s manual repair tools. If there are many problems, try to use the surface wrapper.

There is a plug-in for AutoCAD by Sycode that allows you to export more than one part in a STL file and also adjust the surface quality.

there is a pARAmeter in acad called "facetres" that you can tune to get a better resolution of surfaces.
