ensight & trimmed cells
 

Can anyone help me resolve a problem in Ensight? The trimmed cells from Star-CD v3.26 are not converted well in Ensight. I see weird results plot in Ensight at locations of trimmed cells. If there is a way to debug this, appreciate if someone can let me know! I've tried adding extra "wall boundaries" at those default wall boundary locations but the problem was not fully resolved.

Use STAR-CD v402. it has an improved ensight export filter and you can postprocess the results from v326.

I have v4 linux version, but don't know how to use v4 yet (training is scheduled next week). Can you tell me how to open v3.26 results in v4 and how to export to Ensight from v4? Hope u don't mind.

Unfortunately it is not possible to export v3.26-pst-data directly to Ensight. But you can do an Initial Field Restart from the v326-data for 0 (!) Iteration to convert the pst-Data to the CCM format and to store the data in the casename.ccm file. Then you should be able to export them.
