making light fluid transparent or see-through

Hi everybody,

I am still working on my tank problem. By now the liquid moves, but as I wrote in my other thread, I am very unsure about the result.

I have a tank with two fluids: Air and water. In order to see the movement of the heavy fluid surface, I want to define the colour of the light fluid transparent or see-through.

Is there any possibility to do this or can I just deselect the light fluid for visualisation?

Thanks

Christian

Why not just put an iso surface at vof=0.5?

Hi,

sorry, but I do not understand what this means. I am a total noob in Star-CD and CFD.

Where can I put an iso surface at vof=0.5? What does it mean and what will this effectuate?

getc conc 1 cset news fluid caver cset popt isos 0.5 cplo

The heavy liquid is stored as a scalar and you can plot an isosurface of that scalar at any value between 0 and 1 but 0.5 is usually used to visualise the free surface
