Memory Allocation in STAR-CCM+

I am new to STAR-CCM+, and I am wondering how to allocate memory to a job that I am running locally on my desktop. I wonder because my simulation fails the memory check at the very beginning. I have 2GBs of memory available, and the simulation that I am running has 1.2 million polyhedral cells. I am running version 2.10.013

You don't allocate memory with STAR-CCM+ it does it for you, 1.2 million polys is probably pushing it on that machine, remember it is a faced based solver and polys have more faces than tets or hexas. If you have anything other than base physics this will also use up more memory. Finally if you are using windows, give up now, the OS eats so much memory running junk apps in the background you actual physical memory available is probably under 1.5gigs
