I installed star-ccm+ 2.08 on 64bit linux machine with opensuse 10.3, and when I create new sim file, ccm+ shows this exception error message and stopped, and it shows same error message when open the sim file too. I used to install version 2.08.007 ccm+ and have a legal license. may be try another shell. Bash shell are usually the worse ones. May be run in csh or tcsh.
