Hi guys, I am calculating flow in the pump with star-cd 3.26 (XP64 OS). I am running the solver with 5cycle rotation(1800deg) and the number of time steps are 3600(time step for period is 0.5deg). it saves data every 5degree. Calculation is converge after 3600 time step. for loading transient data: 1) i select Transient "analysis" 2) I select 1 from "transient post file(s) 3) I select yes from "moving mesh" 4) I click the "add file to list" 5) I click the "open transient post file"

after that all time steps appeared in the "select time step" list, but I just can open only the results from between 1 to 650 time steps, when i open another from 660-3600 time steps it says, "**ERROR-reading post file Incomplete or corrupted data"

what problem maybe with this? please some1 advice

You have probably some error in your file, and it is not unlikely that it is at the last time step where the proper ending has not been included.

I would try to set a shell-environment variable called LAST_STEP (or was it maybe LASTSTEP?) to for example 3000, which allows you to collect only the timesteps 1 to 3000 in a .pst-file by executing the ancient command "mergepst". The mergepst-command is an old 3.15 feature, but it lies hidden somewhere in your executables, othervise adapco should be able to help you find it.

Good luck,

Mr G
