lagrangian multiphase analysis

Hi ..

I am doing lagrangian multiphase analysis for tracking oil droplet particles. Most of the particles stick on the surfaces and the rest will escape through the outlet. My question is, How to calculate the no of particles leaving the domain? Please help me in this regard..

Re: lagrangian multiphase analysis

in STAR-CCM+ this is easy using the incident mass field function - plot or do a Sum report on any boundary (eg outlet, wall etc). If you need actual numbers, divide by particle mass.

Thank you ping.. Can i do liquid film simulation using ccm+ ? Pl Give guidelines for transient analysis.

Re: lagrangian multiphase analysis

No - liquid film has only been implemented in STAR-CD at present.

For transients, just turn on the transient solver physics model in STAR-CCM+, then setting the time step is the main other thing to change from a steady state run.
