Re: import volume mesh from CCM+

How about exporting as *.dbs file from CCM+ and importing into star cd.

Re: import volume mesh from CCM+

just export the mesh from Star-CCM in *.ccm format. Star-CD can read that format.

Yes it is possible to export the mesh from StarCCM+ and then import to STAR-CD 4 Version.

But about dbs file I am not confirmed, but I think it is possible to import the dbs file from starCCM+ in STAR-CD.

Or, if you like the GUI:

Grids -> Import Grids -> Format CCM

thanks, i will try! funny, i couldn't find this in the user guides or manuals!

Re: import volume mesh from CCM+

True, but to be fair to Star-CD, you have to admit that looking for grid import in the GUI under 'Grid -> Import Grids' does not require an awful lot of abstract thinking.

But you are right, it is sometimes not easy to find the appropriate command or menu.
