Defining a streamwise and a normal cordinate system

Can anyone let me know how to define a streamwise and a normal cordinate system for a flow with large curvatures?

One possible solution is to particle track in the flow. You can then go from tracks to vertices (PTVERT). The vertices can then be used to for the z axis in a VLOCAL command.
PSYS can then be used to get the vector quantities.
