This is a fairly simple simulation which seems to be completely eluding me. I have a six-part valve like so:

The idea is that fluid pressure (it is a heart valve) forces the individual leaves to deform and allow fluid to pass, and then snap back into initial position.

The leaves look like so:

PM if interested.

Hello Richard,

From the first look, a 2-way FSI is necessary for simulating this problem.

What sort of material is the value made of? And and do you have any information of the blood mass flow rate, as you know it is a pulsating type of flow in the heart.

Cheers,
Sony
