Calculation of mass flow caught in vortex

Hi everyone,

Is there a way by which we can manually calculate the mass flow which has been caught up in a vortex. You can assume the parameters as radius of the vortex, speed of the equipment, main mass flow and width of the restriction which has aided in the development of vortex. We can guess the location of formation of vortex depending on the shape of the geometry. Keeping this in mind, could tell me if it is possible to do so? If yes, could you please guide me through it? You are free to assume other parameters also.

TIA
