Anyone willing to do a "paid" ICEM mesh for a wind turbine blade !

Dear All

I am working on simulating NREL Phase-II wind turbine blade using a single rotating frame with Ansys Fluent 18.1. I need someone to mesh the domain with ICEM Hexa mesh type to follow the literature one.

The reason behind that is I am encountering a problem of getting the right torque value in which the actual value is 94 N.m while I am getting 84 N.m.

To be honest I have made a number of modifications to pose the problem correctly according to Ansys Fluent Documentations as well as changing and refining the mesh further which led to a noticeable improvement of the result from 75 N.m to 85 N.m.

Regardless further modifications to the mesh, the torque seemed to remain the same. So, I have started to believe it may be only Hexa mesh for my case that would lead the residuals to fall smoothly with have the mesh I am currently using.

Waiting forward to hear from you guys.

Thanks
Ahmed

Hi, Could you explain that, how it was resolved? It would be helpful for us.
