Article by Leonard - Normalized Variable technique

Hi All.

I am writing about approximation schemes.

I have short description of NV (from other sources) but I have not the original work by '''B.P.Leonard''' Simple high-accuracy resolution program for convective modelling of discontinuities. International J. Numerical Methods Fluids, 8:1291-1318, 1988

If I'll be glad if anyone can help. Unfortunatly I am out of the libraries.

Michail

I'll be at Chalmers tomorrow Michail. If I get some spare time I'll try to drop by their library to get you some of those papers you are missing. Could you post a list of papers that you would like to have?

if you meet (by chance) prof. lars davidson, say my thanks for his course notes, i learnt a lot from his notes specially LES. :)

I know Lars well, his room was a few meters away from mine when I was at Chalmers. I'll send him your thanks.

Jonas - Thank You Very much

Dear Jonas, thanks a lot, I am very grateful for Your offer.

But I still have a lot to do even without additional literature, besides I've found something in the Internet.

And to be honest I don't want to take Your time, bother You and add my personal troubles and problems to Your own.

I suppose when we open CFD-Wiki defenitely appear people who will want and decide to make his contribution.

At least I hope that we have enough time - some 10 or 20 years :))

No problem, if I have some spare time I'll try to copy some papers for you. I have a 6-hour meeting there on monday so a break is always nice. Post the list of papers that you want and if I can't get the papers for your perhaps someone else has the opportunity sometime.

ok, thanks a lot, just a few minutes

Dear Jonas - Thank You Very much - Any of them

Main problem with this schemes - they are not often in use, it was some kind of discovery for me - I've never heard of them.

I copied at least one long paper for you. The older papers (earlier than 1994) was in the library magazine and they had closed for the day when I was there. Anyway, email me your address and I'll send you the 1995 Nirvana article.

Michail,

if you find any of the topic you have mentioned in AIAA papers, you can write to vinod on this email:

dhimanvinod@gmail.com

he will mail you the paper if it is available in pdf form. He is a nice guy, i have asked him for so many papers and he has not disappointed me yet.

Re: Dear Jonas - Thank You Very much - Any of them

Thank You Arjun, but:

1) I don't know him

2) I try to don't bother people until theyselves agreeds to help. Of course, sometimes I sent letters with begging to help, but I think it's not the case, where such method could be applied.

I placed a page with a list of what we need, perhaps some people will answer to our petition.

Re: Dear Jonas - Thank You Very much - Any of them

well i understand what u r saying, but sometimes u know there are people who wish to help others, but u see they can not help until some one asks them to help(how they will know u need help). you got my point, lets assume that vinod wants to help you, but how will he know that u need somehelp. so drop a line to him. no need to beg, he is good guy. same thing apply to me, i wish to help lot of guys, but can not really do until someone asks me. think again.

Re: Dear Jonas - Thank You Very much - Any of them

I suppose, we have not anything to be in hurry.

Therefore I hope, that when someone good guy have a glance on the page where I wrote, what we need - (if he will be really "good guy") - I am sure - he will answer.

I think that trouble and annoy people without serious reason - is not the goodlooking thing. So I shall try not to do this, and shall try to avoid such situations as much as possible.

Hi Sir,

I am a student .My major is CFD.Your E-mail displayed in the web,so I can connect with you now.

Does you have an electronic or hard copy of this paper: Leonard, B. P. 1979," A stable and accurate convective modelling procedure based on quadratic upstream interpolation". Comp. Meth. Appl. Mech. & Engg. 19, p59-98.

I look forward to your early reply.

Yours sincerely
