Hi, I have a completed ".res" file which contains my deformed geometry. I want to remesh this deformed geometry, so I have to export only the geometry (not the mesh nodes) to my mesh generator. Is there any way to do that?thanks

res files contain no geometry, only mesh. So you are forced to be dealing with the mesh.
I do not know how to do this, but here are some ideas to try: * Use FE Modeller in workbench to get the mesh and output it as something a solid modellign package or mesh can use * Export the outside surfaces and convert them to STL format. You will probably need to write something to do this but STL is a simple format so it is not that hard. Then import the STL into ICEM as you can mesh regions defined by STL meshes in ICEM. |
