Inlet Flow Resistance

1 Attachment(s)
I have an inlet that resembles a grille ( please look into the attached image) could some one please tell me if it is possible to model it just as a plane inlet but then assign some flow resistance to it in CFX with out actually modeling it as a grille.

Normally you would use a porous ddomain and assign the area porosity and loss model to it. If you do this be wary of what you assign for you input flow and whether you choose superficial of true velocity. Also check your results for correct mass flow, as some have reported errors if using a velocity flow rate, meaning the solver doesn't respect the proper superficial/true mass flow rates.

If its right at your inlet, can't you just ignore it and add whatever flow resistance you wanted to add later?
