Hi,
I'm trying to make an expression on an inlet rectagular face. The image shows a 2-D slice. The inlet velocity profile is to be the 1/7 power law. I cannot see an expression that will define the entire profile so have made this expresssion for the inlet velocity, u: H = 1 [m] if (y <= H , U*((y/H)^0.143) , ???? ) But I cannot get the correct equation for the top half of the velocity profile (dashed in the image). Can any one help as I sure this has been done lots of times but I cannot get a decreasing power curve as needed. Thanks |

For the upper portion it is a simple translation of the y. For y>H replace y with (2H-y)
