Default Mesh and geometry import in cfx-pre

Hello,

I have made a mesh in Gambit and I would like to import it in cfx-pre. I tried exporting from Gambit both with the Ansys and the CGNS format, as is suggested on some messages in this forum. The problem is that when I import the mesh in CFX-PRE 10.0 all the information about the geometry is lost (I am not able to select the faces for example). Is there a way to import the geometry information in CFX-PRE?

Thanks Francesco

I am also doing similar kind of thing so what I do in my case is to make a mesh in gambit it is a 2D mesh and then converting that mesh from infot foam format and then converting the foam mesh to 3D mesh now 2D mesh is converted into 3D mesh. Now I am improting that mesh in tgrid and exporting it in the format of ptran and then I am able to see all the boundary cndition and mesh proerly in CFX-PRE.

I hop it helps you Q

I cannot test this as I am at home at the moment, but I thought CFX-Pre could import gambit msh files.

it seems that you have scaling problem. Check the units. All meshes are there but you can not see them due to scaling problem.
