Reverse Particle Tracking

Is there a way to do reverse particle tracking? I have a situation where I would like to see where the fluid came from that is interacting with my blades. Ideally I would be able to specify a number of points from which I could drop particles into my fluid and then track them backwards in time to determine how much the flow is diverging around my rotor.

You might be able to do this with some advanced post processors such as ensight or Fieldview. Without them I suspect your only choice is to release massless particles as the simulation runs, and in post processing find a particle in the region you want and track it back.
Alternately if the flow is steady state, or the velocity of the flow is high compared to the change in the flow, then you can use normal streamlines and they have an option to integrate backwards. |

In post you can also filter you're particle tracks based on the location where they end up.
