Hello everybody,
This is my first time to post after CFD online changed the theme. It looks very nice. I have a problem to solve, wish somebody can help me. I run a transient model, and after a little long time (40 hours), i used the "stop" button to stop it, (since i thought the time is enough), unfortunately, it can not produce the .res result file. ************************************************** *** a stop request has already been sent to the ANSYS CFX Solver process running in the specified directory: G:\aaa\aaa.dir ************************************************** *** Is there someone know why this happend? and how to fix it. Thanks in advance. |

It looks like something else happened. The cfx5stop command is fine. Was it any CPU still working or was it just freezed?
Cheers! |

Hi,
I have the same problem, except that I ran a steadystate run ( in HP MPI local parallel , 2 cores) through the console mode. I used the cfx5stop command to stop the run, which was quiet efficient as it killed the job in the middle of a loop iteration.... And no result file has been created, could someone help please? |

cfx5stop should exit gracefully and give a results file. Are you sure nothing else is wrong, such as disk space or network error?

I tried with other input files (such as those created to follow the tutorials given by ansys) and there is no problem : the folder.dir is transformed into a result file just after the process is interrupted : /
It looks like the problem is linked with the current run. For instance I haven't spotted network problem and I have enough room on the hard drive. I have contacted ANSYS support, if they solve the problem I'll post the solution. |

Acutally i mam using batch mode in iSIGHT optimization software this software stop after getting this messgae it takes as an error. |

Hi Guys,
I'm using CFX14.0 and in my case worked by writing in the command line the following: cfx5post -directory <directory_name>.dir I hope it will work for you too Cheers Domy |
