You can just import the def file (or whatever file format you have) in CFX-Pre and I think it comes in just like a .msh file.

Hi Glen I open CFX-Pre and go to the menu file>import>mesh when I selecting the .def file the following error appeared:

ERROR
There is a problem importing mesh from the requested file
the importing process reported the following problem:

Unable to import mesh: No 3D elements imported

???????
what the problem?

Mariam

Is it a valid .def file? It does not look like it.

I succeeded at last I did mistake before with the type of file imported I select type as all types (*) hence the file not imported correctly when I select the type as CFX solver Input (.def) I get it correctly thanks a lot. I just want to ask with the mesh file imported now I get completely default case settings differ from the previous one?
