hi ,, i need help regrading my thesis , i have calculated cooling/heating load of ship cabin and have found required air flow rate ,, and now i want to find temperature distribution and air flow patterns in Ansys cfx for that cabin,, as i am new to this software and problem , please recommend me how should i proceed , my target is to validate my air flow calculations that these are correct and can well air conditioned my subject cabin ,, best regards

So your question is about how to use the software? I take it you have done all the relevant tutorials, especially the ones about cfd-post?

thanks for quick reply ,, i have read few tutorials ,, and have rough sketch of what i gonna do ,, my subject cabin is 20ft(length) x 14ft(width) X10ft(height), my apprehension is that i could solve this on a normal fast personal computer or not , and how complex problem it would be ,, i mean how much time it would take to learn the software and execute the problem ,,, as i have to plan for my thesis ,, reagrds

It would take exactly 49 hours and 3 minutes to solve your problem.
No, seriously, it is impossible for any of us to say how long it will take for you to solve your problem. It depends on your background, if you are a fast learner, the amount of details in your geometry, the complexity of the physics, mesh size, amount of post-processing, etc etc.... |
