I did a spray simulation and wanna to get the Sauter Mean Diameter and diameter distribution at a specified area.
I read the documentation and do the tutorials ,but still can not find it .
Does anyone know how to achieve this.
Thank you.

This is straight forward post processing. The SMD is a standard variable for apropriate multiphase simulations, so just plot the variable on the object you like. Or do a CEL expression on it, or what ever you want.

This should not be too hard to do with CEL expressions.

If you really want to calculate it for a specified area, that means you want something like a 2D sauter diameter, right? So particle area / interface length instead of particle volume/ interfacial area.

My idea for that would be to simply integrate the volume fraction over the area. That gives you the particle area (corresponding to the volume in 3D). To get the interface length (corresponding to the interfacial area in 3D) you could plot a contour, insert a polyline at a suitable contour level and then get the length of this line via CEL.

For a real 3D case you could use isovolumes and isosurfaces to get the volumes and surfaces of the particles.

EDIT:Or you could just use the SMD variable that Glenn mentioned and that I did not know about

You mean i can set CEL like 'Sauter Mean Diameter@outlet?
I only find the averaged Sauter Mean Diameter in the variable list.
But if i want quantitative analysis, like:
100-120um ??%
120-140um ??%
