How I can use more than one PC with ANSYS CFX

Hi I am wondering about using more than one pc as parallel processors to make run more quick in ANSYS CFX 12 is that possible? If yes what the procedure to do this ?

CFX can do this and this is called distributed parallel. It is well described in the CFX setup documentation.

I read the instructions mentioned at the CFX help but they never mentioned anything about how the computers connected via USB or LAN or by router? should ANSYS CFX installed in all of the computers or no?

This is all described in the documentation.
You need CFX installed on all machines. You need to have rsh working between the machines - if you cna do this with a USB connection then good luck to you but that sounds like a LAN to me. You will also find USB does not have the band width or low latency required for multi-processor simulations. |

Thanks a lot for the reply. May you tell me where i can find what you mentioned about the connection in the documentation? I search at CFX help but cannot find thing about the connection method?

ansys customer portal has all the documentation. ansys.com, create an account using your customer number, then you can access everything.
