Porous hyperelasticity

hello
Does any one have any experience with modelling arterial wall as porous hyperelastic materials in cfx., I am curious to see how it is possible to incorporate fluid flow into the models .
Lokking forwards to hearing from you
Thanks

Ummm, what is porous hyperelasticity? Can you explain how that works?

porous hyperelasticity

Dear all

I am going to use Mooney -Rivlin 3 parameter material for my analysis. I would like to use porosity and permiability value on this model. How can I do the domain setup in the cfx pre. (Note: Solid and porous part involved in the model)
Thanks

Regards

You mean you want to do a FSI model where the FEA bit uses a Mooney-Rivlin material and the solid part is a porous material as well?

I cannot see a way to make a solid both FSI and porous.

Porous

Dear friend
Yes . I want to do two way FSI analysis. I would like to introduce porocity and permiability as well on the solid.

I found an option in cfx pre

while selecting the porous domain, I can find AN OPTION CALLED solid definition . Shall I use this option to define the solid

Thanks

Regards

As I said, I cannot see a way to make a solid both FSI and porous. An FSI body is represented in CFX by its external surfaces only as that it the interface which interacts with the solid and fluid. So CFX does not have the solid to do a porous model, and I do not think you can transfer it to ANSYS mechanical to do it there either.

So I do not think this is possible. But feel free to try, I would be very happy if you proved me wrong.

porous fsi

hello.
could you couple Fsi two way with poros wall in CFX?
I think you can use multilayer for porous wall and then one of them will have FSi.
what's your idea?
