Overlaping geometry

Hello,

I wanted to ask, if its possible to run a CFX simulation even though that there is overlapping geometry? We have a complicated shape of the wheel inlet and its in collision with the volute. As the elements are not neigh bour ones i would say, that the calculation might not be affected.
At the moment, it was not possible to modify the geometry.

Thank you
Vit

Providing there is nothing where CFX is looking for intersections (such as GGI interfaces or immersed solids) present then CFX will not be aware that part of the mesh overlaps and will keep on running.
