CFX Strange Error code
Hello all,
I am running a compressor simulation. During the run I have received the following error code: ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. | | Message: | | The stage mass flow must be greater or equal to zero on one side | | of the interface. Stopped in routine GATHER_CSIP_CS1 This happend in iteration 96. The simulation seemed to work fine till this point. Same type of simulation runs with no problem. The only change was a compressor wheel segment itself ( segment alone works in other CFD as well). I checked rotation, setting of pitch angles etc. everything is ok. Thank you for any help Vit |
Have a look at the flow field just before it crashes. Is the flow going weird? Are you getting reverse flow?

Hi every body I have the same problem... may you help me, please? |
Have you made any changes to the mesh? Have you checked for mesh quality, orthogonal quality etc?
Post images, and your CCL. Also set monitor points inside your domain and monitor them carefully. Are they physically realistic? Is your time step too large? |
I don't find an official solution, but it seems to be a small problem for some certain version of CFX, like CFX 15.0.
I have met this error when the 'Downstream Velocity Constraint' is set as 'Constant Total Pressure' for stage interface setting. If this option is changed as 'Stage Average Velocity', the error is gone. This problem doesn't exist anymore in CFX 17.0 Quote:
