Hi,

I am running an unsteady simulation of flow past a 2D circular cylinder.

I wanna know the way to calculate Drag force per unit length (D/length) in CFX-post.

Thanks

Farid

Calculate the drag. Divide by the length.

Hi Mohammad,

You can use:

force_x()@boundary or force_y()@boundary or force_z()@boundary

You may need to do some trig to align it with your direction of motion if it isn't aligned with an axis. Replace "boundary" with the name of your boundary region or a surface group which includes all the relevant surfaces.
