Permeability through Polyethylene

Dear all,

I am involved in a research project about poliethylene.

I want to simulate, with CFX, how water vapor go troughout an polyethylene film.

I've thinked doing with "porous domain" but I am not sure that is the most corret approach to the problem,

can somebody help me?

thank you very much in advance!

This sort of molecular permeability is very slow. It would be governed by Fick's Laws which are analugous to the Fourier Heat equation. You could model it as an additional variable through a solid domain, or do some analytical calculations. Its not going to "flow" like fluid through a porous domain.
