CFDturbomachinery is on a distinguished road
does anyone know how to get rid of this error in CFX? I am using 1.4 memory allowcation factor but still showing this error.

*** INSUFFICIENT MEMORY ALLOCATED *** |
| |
| ACTION REQUIRED : Increase the real stack memory size. |
| |
| Details : |
| Requested space : 2785716 words |
| Current allocated space : 48516696 words |
| Current used space : 47089570 words |
| Current free space : 1427126 words |
| Number of free areas : 3

If you increase the allocation factor but still get the error then you have a fundamental error in your setup. Something is causing the problem - examples include excessively complex GGI interfaces, file names too long, too many boundary surfaces, too many phases, and zillions more causes.

Opaque will become famous soon enough
You must try to understand the message to see if you are making progress by allocating additional memory.

It says:

Quote:
| Requested space : 2785716 words |
|
|
| Current free space : 1427126 words |
| Number of free areas : 3
Therefore, it tried to use 2785716, but it only has 1427126 available, i.e. it is off by about 50% in available memory. In addition, it says that the available memory is divided in 3 free areas; therefore, even if the Current free space was large enough, there may not be a single free area large enough for the request.

Try a larger memory factor, and see how the message guides you. If you see no progress, or unrealistic request review your setup carefully, or contact ANSYS CFX support.
