hi
I m trying to simulate Flow through porous media and I'd enter the permeability parameter from a tensor. But I do not know how? (ansys CFX-pre/defalt domaine/porous domaine/porosity setting/permeability) (for Simulation of Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding process) |

ANSYS CFX presently allows only K(permeability) to be isotropic ( Ansys CFX help)

You could try three different momentum sources (pourous loss model) one in each direction. Someone else had this idea, I've never tried it.

That's right. If you don't like the built in porous models you can always do your own.
But if he wants to specify it as a tensor it is a bit more complex - getting those high order terms in there will be tricky. But if all he wants is to specify a permeability in each direction this is easy to do with your own source term. |

yes.I wants is to specify a permeability in each direction .
but how? ansys CFX only accepts scaler for permeability. "easy to do with your own source term". How? |

The CFX porosity model just generates a source term. There is a little tricky stuff for convergence, but mainly a source term. But you can write your own source terms, so then you could write your own source term which is a porosity model which works in any way you like. So this means do not use the built in porosity model, use a source term instead and you will have to write the equations of the source term yourself - of course.

Look up source terms in the documentation.
