Import Points to take Time Dependent Data

Hello all,

I know you can insert a data point by hand in CFD-Post, but I have a lot of data points that I would like to insert using a .txt file. I can't use a polyline for this because the data that I need is Time Dependent. Does anyone know an easy way to do this?

Use a CFD-Post session file to generate all your points. The session file is just a text file so can be easily generated by hand, or using a program if you like. Alternately you can imbed perl in the session file to do looping, conditional statements and all that sort of stuff.

Thank you for your help! I did end up using session files to get done what I wanted to, but had to alter an example that I found.

My question now is, is there some place where you can learn how to use Perl for cfd post? I can't find anything that looks similar to the example that I have.

Also, specifically does anyone know how to export the time (from different timesteps for transient data) that the data was taken at?
