CFX5-Solver Error

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,

I am an unexperinced user in CFX5-Solver an I must obtain my Mesh using Ansys in order to simulate an ICE Process with OpenFOAM.
After obtaining my mesh files and importing them to CFX-Pre I started CFX5-Solver in order to simulate. After 5 min of simulation, CFX5-Solver encounters an error by interpolating results on to the new mesh. I uploaded a Screenshot of my error.
It would be very usefull if anyone could give me a tipp regarding my error.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Andrei

Are you using the same domain with the same BC names?

First o fall thank you for your answer. What do you mean by domain and BC names ?

I mean that as far as I know inerpolating results on a new case file requires that you use the same domain with the same names for the Boundary Condtions (BC) so that the Interpolator is able to match all geometry parts together.
I might be wrong but I have understood the interpolation option that way, that I can change the mesh and the type of the BC's between 2 cases but NOT any of the Geometry (meaning domain and boundary conditions naming).

Is it now clearer what I wanted to say? :)

Ok, I understud what you ment. I am using the same Boundary Condition names as well as the same domain. I presume the problem comes from a incomplete installation of Ansys and not from my model. I will try my case on a windows computer to see if i get the same error.
Thank you very much for you help, i will write my solution as soon as i resolve it.

Best regards,

Andrei

without knowing more about the command give, possible differences in mesh, and being able to read the entire output of the out file, this is difficult to say.

It does look a perl error is returned, but the reason why, I do not know.
You could send Ansys support that error code. They typically ask for as much information as you could provide, which typically includes the entire out file.
