Rotate frame reference in transient simulation

Hi, everyone.
I'm trying to simulate a gear rotate in multiphase domain, I used the rotate frame reference for my simulation. in the picture, the green part is rotate domain, and the blue part is stationary.

after all the work, i find out in the simulation video that the water and air are rotating in the rotate domain, but the wall itself which represent the gear is not rotating. I tried a lot of ways to figure out, but it is still not working.

First, are you using the 'Transient Rotor Stator' model? If you're not, it won't rotate, plus your results will be incorrect.

If you are, have you checked that 'Edit > Option > CFD-Post > Angular Shift for Transient Rotating Domains' is set to 'Automatic' or 'Always rotate'?

Hi, brunoc! Thank you for your advice, now my rotate frame begins to rotate in transient simulation.
but i got another question, i noticed that the distribution of water and air seems not to be reasonable at the beginning. As i showed in this picture, the water and air in the rotate domain is not continuous with the water and air in the stationary domain, which i means that the water and air moves more independently in the rotate domain, and in stationary domain, the movement of water and air does not respond as quickly as the movement in rotate domain.

I want to know whether this phenomenon results from the CFX software itself or results from my mistakenly settings. Thank you very much

Try using the alternate rotation model in the rotating domain settings. Also check you have a tight enough convergence criteria.

hi,i want to know whether there are solid domain and fluid domain and the solid domain is set rotationg, the fluid domain is set stationary?
