High Energy Domain Imbalance Due to Energy Equation Source Term1 Attachment(s)
Hi
I'm simulating a steady-state solidification problem in a 2D cavity by ANSYS CFX 14.5. I've added a source term to energy equation. Afterward there is a huge heat domain imbalance (about 55%), while momentum imbalances are acceptable (less than 0.05%). The source term is presented in the attachment. Is there something wrong with heat source, or with the CEL expression? I always use Double Precision option and have tried finer meshes and smaller physical timesteps (~0.001s), but none of them improves the results. Any help is greatly appreciated. P.S. As shown in the attachment, I've estimated Heat Source Coefficient by dividing it by Temperature (dS/dT~S/T) as CFX documentations suggest. Thank you for your attention. |
