Hi all
currently I am doing enlargement of coronary artery due to porosity of an artery wall .The flow is pulsate in nature.I want to clarify the following. Is this two way FSI or one way FSI ? or can we solve it this case in the CFX itself. Thank you |

The answer is self evident - if the flow affects the deformation but the deformation does not affect the flow it is one way. If the flow affects the deformation and the deformation affects the flow then it is two way.
I would think in your case it is almost certainly 2 way. |

Are you sure the porosity/permeability is coupled to the fluid flow and motion? If it is not coupled then there is no point developing a simulation to do the coupling - and this will be far easier. Only model coupling on physics where there is, in fact, coupling.

You have to describe mathematically how all these couplings work before you can consider implementation.
So how is inflammation linked to porosity? What is the porosity a function of? You need to express the answers to these questions as mathematical functions. |
