Hello,

I am trying to solve liquid droplet behavior under vibrating environment with CFX. Liquid droplet is emerging through a pore into a channel. I want to investigate the forced vibration effect on the bubble dynamics.(vibration of the total numerical domain)

I am not sure I this is possible with Ansys multiphysics FSI (Fluid Structure Interaction).

Do you think it is possible with CFX? If so, please let me know the way.

Thanks you for your consideration!

You could do this in CFX by either imposing an oscillating mesh motion on the boundary or, if the entire domain vibrates, adding an oscillating momentum source (i.e. acceleration) to the entire domain.

hi ,i meet this kind of problem, too . In cfx, adding an oscillationg momentum source means adding a subdomain to the simulation. but there is just the energy, there is no momutum source.

You can make the subdomain cover the entire domain if it acts everywhere. I do not understand your statement about energy.

the subdomain is motion with the displacement expression. but in subdomain set tap, the source is energy with the unit of Wm^-3

You can "reuse" that subdomain to apply source terms if you want.

An energy equation source term can have units Wm^-3, of course. But I still do not understand your question about energy.
