Meshing issues with 2D model in CFX

Hi everyone,

I am hoping someone is able to help me with my problem. I have created a long 2D sketch of a pipe and running into issues with meshing. Even though the geometry is fairly simple, it is long and thin and it is causing the mesh to be distorted.

The errors I get is that the quality of mesh is not correct. Any ideas of how to proceed from here?

Meshing long thin pipes should be done using some form of extruded mesh so you can have fine mesh across the pipe but long elements along the pipe.

I'm assuming this is a planar 2D mesh?
Your geometry should be about as thick as your smallest element dimension.
When meshing try to do a sweep method mesh "manual thin" if possible.
Use mapped face meshing on all faces. Define your number of divisions along each line or bend with the same number of divisions on each side. You can sweep mesh each pipe section too, along the length.
It may help if you have your pipe sliced up into straight sections and elbows. Make sure it is one part though.
If you still have trouble, upload the geometry.
