I'm trying to create the def file to send to someone else, but when I go to Tools>Solve in CFX-pre, it is greyed out. Why is this?

I got the def file through execution control, but Solve is still greyed out. Hmm.

do you work in WB or in standalone? If you do so in WB there is no option like that. You have to double click on Solution in CFX box (in WB scheme) and it creates your desired def file. Then you can simply find it in project folder (Project/dp0/CFX/CFX/CFX.def)
