Dear researchers
Hope you are doing Well I am currently doing research on the ORC Radial inflow turbine design, and my working fluid is R245fa During the numerical investigation, I need to use more accurate thermodynamic model than the supplied one in CFX (Peng robinson and the others), and in order to avoid the time consuming numerical cost, it is recommended to use a Real Gas Property table (RGP) for the R245fa fluid. Kindly, My questions are : 1. In the Super-heated Region tables, some values of our parameters F = (enthalpy + Speed of sound + .....) are repeated because the corresponding Pressure and Temperature fall out of the super-heated region (they are actually in the saturated one), if anyone have another opinion please share (see image from CFX ) tbl.jpg 2. the RGP file has a special format, and the parameters F = (enthalpy + speed of sound + ... ) should be organized in such a way that each table contain lines and columns, but after copying the parameters F from REFPROP to the RGP file format it is impossible to arrange it all with hands because there are 9 tables and (86*215) matrices each, if anyone can help with a VBA macro simple program I will highly appreciate that (see the required format in the image from CFX) tbl.jpg Finally I hope we can share ideas and support each others Hope to hear from you soon, dear researchers |

Ask your Ansys support to get the RGP file generator program.

Hello Turbo
Thank you for answering me, Now I have another problem may be you can suggest When I run the CFXsolver on the Cluster, I got an error message saying that CLUSTER could not read the RGP file, but when I run it on my desktop computer I got a result I would like to know why the Cluster Platform could not read the RGP file and fail to solve the problem Answering on the above would be highly appreciated I hope to hear from you soon |

Hi, Fakhreddine,
I am writing the RGP file, but CFX failed to read it. Could you please send the R245fa.rgp file or the generation file as a attachment here. Thank you very much. Quote:

Hello FAKHREDDINE,
Did you generate the RGP file using a script with the refprop data? if yes, could you please share the script? Is it possible to get the R245fa.rgp file? |
