splitted cylindrical geometries in ansys design modeler

hi all
i have a problem with design modeler while i import external geometry files from solid works.

i don't know why ansys DM splits all imported cylindrical surfaces into two faces!! how can i prevent this ?

best regards

Try a different import format. You have lots to choose from - parasolid, iges, solidworks, STEP, ACIS should all work.

hi Glenn
i have tried all possible formats (igs, stp and..) but still cfx does the same !
i figured it out the problem still exist while importing files from Solidworks
do you have any idea?

have you tried creating a new part on solid works like making a simple circle then extrude it and saveas "part.x_t" or parasolid? works for me... using ansys v14.
